Company spokesman Dmitry Sakharuk said that the situation in the Ukrainian energy system has improved due to a number of factors, but it is still unstable.
In the near future, repair work will begin at some units of nuclear and thermal generation. Therefore, a shortage of electricity may return and, as a result, stabilization shutdowns. Dmitry Sakharuk, Executive Director of DTEK, announced this on the air of the telethon.
According to him, the situation in the Ukrainian energy system has improved due to a number of factors, but it is still unstable.
“Some time later, we have planned routine maintenance at some nuclear and thermal generation units, the flood will end, so the situation will change, and perhaps there will again be a resource shortage,” the DTEK representative added.
Sakharuk said that for the past 4 days there has been no energy shortage due to warming, an increase in the production of renewable energy sources, the launch of all nuclear power plants and thermal power plants. In addition, floods began in the country, which makes it possible to increase the capacity of the hydroelectric power station. Kyiv also imports electricity from Slovakia.
“As a result, we have a balance in the energy system. This situation will continue as long as there is a combination of these components. Is the situation stable? No. We need to work further in order to improve it,” he said.
The Executive Director of DTEK noted that the situation in the energy sector of the Odessa region has been improved, but it will take several weeks for final stabilization if there are no new shellings of the RF Armed Forces.
Recall, on February 15, the head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate, Ruslan Slobodyan, said that the schedules for power outages in Ukraine would only be in effect if Russia launched new missile and drone strikes on the Ukrainian energy sector.
On February 14, the mayor of Lvov, Andrey Sadovoy, said that almost all electrical substations had been destroyed in the city and the region . According to him, it is no longer possible to restore most of the Lviv energy facilities.
