Budapest (5/7 – 11.11) Former European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker defended U.S. President Joe Biden after his disastrous debate performance last week and warned of his rival Donald Trump’s “incomplete mind and flawed reasoning,” in an interview with Brussels Playbook. Still, Juncker insisted that “one can be of a certain age … and do a good job.” But Juncker…

Democrats in the Colorado House of Representatives limited debate on two firearm-related bills Saturday evening after the second afternoon of Republican filibustering. Speaker Julie McCluskie moved to limit debate to one hour each on second reading for Senate Bill 23-168, which would make it easier for victims to sue gun manufacturers, and Senate Bill 23-170, which would expand the state’s extreme risk protection order, or red flag, statute. An ERPO allows authorities to confiscate firearms from individuals a court deems a risk. It is a rarely-used tactic, as reported by The Colorado Sun, but one that is allowed and needs just a simple…

Billionaire financier George Soros said on Thursday that if Russia was defeated in the Ukraine war it would result in the dissolution of what he called the ‘Russian empire,’ something he said would be greeted by former Soviet republics. Soros said the United States would support Ukraine, but that President Joe Biden had warned Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskiy that there were limits and that World War Three had…

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has ruled out giving up any of his country’s territory in a potential peace deal with Russia. In a BBC interview to mark a year since Russia’s full-scale invasion, he warned conceding land would mean Russia could “keep coming back”, while Western weapons would bring peace closer. Mr Zelensky also said a predicted spring offensive had already begun. “Russian attacks are already happening from several directions,” he said. He does, however, believe Ukraine’s forces can keep resisting Russia’s advance until they are able to launch a counter-offensive – although he repeated his calls for more military…
