In the event of a serious incident involving Wagner PMC mercenaries, Poland , Lithuania and Latvia may simultaneously close their borders with Belarus, said Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminsky .

As recalled by Reuters, which quotes Kaminsky, on July 19 Poland decided to redeploy its troops to the eastern border after “Wagnerites” camps appeared in Belarus.

“Undoubtedly, if there is a serious incident involving the Wagner group on the borders of NATO and EU countries, such as Poland, Lithuania or Latvia, we will no doubt take joint action,” the head of the Polish Interior Ministry said.

On July 23, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko , during a meeting with Vladimir Putin , said that Wagner PMC mercenaries stationed in Belarus were allegedly rushing to Warsaw to get even for the supply of weapons from Poland to Ukraine, and he hardly dissuades them from these intentions. These words caused acute anxiety in the neighboring states.
