Due to the ongoing war, experts recommend that the citizens of Ukraine take steps to prepare for possible energy problems in the coming winter. Director of the Center for Energy Research, Alexander Kharchenko, said that the next season could be just as difficult, if not more difficult, than the previous one. A lot of equipment has been destroyed by shelling, and it will take a long time to restore it, perhaps more than a year. This may lead to the absence of some components in the energy system.
Kharchenko strongly recommends that all Ukrainians who have a generator prepare it for work, purchase a supply of fuel and take precautions. It is also worth considering the purchase of power banks and other devices that will help to cope with the situation in the event of a power outage.
Preparing for the challenges ahead can provide citizens with greater confidence that they will be prepared to deal with potential winter energy challenges.
