Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer George McGinnis died early Thursday morning, the Indiana Pacers said in a team statement. McGinnis “succumbed to complications from a cardiac arrest suffered late last week,” according to the Pacers. He was 73 years old. McGinnis played three seasons with the Sixers and helped the team win the 1977 Eastern Conference title. A letter sent home with students at Quince Orchard High School in Montgomery County, Maryland revealed that antisemitic graffiti was found inside a bathroom stall at the school on Tuesday. According to the letter, sent to parents and guardians on Thursday by the school’s principal, a student discovered the hateful imagery earlier this week. A juvenile and an adult suffered life-threatening injuries when a horse and buggy and a truck crashed in St. Mary’s County on Sunday, the Sheriff’s office said. The crash happened just before noon at the Point Lookout Road and Pin Cushion Road intersection in Leonardtown, Maryland, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department said.  According to a preliminary investigation, the juvenile victim was driving the buggy, carrying three family members.
